More Man Than You is full of all kinds of historical tidbits -- highly recommend for that, although fair warning, it's kind of unfinished. that is, there's a sequel that hasn't been finished yet (but as of earlier this year she's still working on it! encourage her!)
The cascades podfic is TO DIE FOR. I love it so much I ended up buying the album that she got the music clips from. And yeah, I do better with audiobooks and podfics. My reading comprehension goes up like 112% when I can listen to something instead of looking at it. I have to read all my writing aloud when I'm editing if I'm going to have a hope in hell of catching all the errors.
