I'm going to have a hard time not going on and on in the tags. They were probably my favorite feature on tumblr, and often my favorite things to read.
And yeah, AO3 comments seem to only be for 'this fic is great!' type of thing and not really for community building/interactions. DW seems to be a platform whose format is more geared towards conversations.
